How to get the best programmer you can for your team?
The first step to hiring a programmer is to ask for their experience, they should have a solid background and a good work ethic, according to a new report from CodingForums.org.
The organisation said more than one third of the people interviewed said they had hired programmers who were not qualified, which they said was the most common reason for their decisions to leave the job.
“There is no one way to go about hiring a C++ programmer,” the report said.
“You can go with someone who has had a few years at the top, someone who’s experienced working on a large project, someone that’s worked in other teams and you can even go with a junior developer who hasn’t done very much coding before.”
To help you decide if someone is a good fit for your project, the organisation’s report said you should check their CV and ask yourself if they have a CV that shows they’ve done a lot of coding before, and if they’ve made any significant contributions to the coding of the project.
“Do not assume that if you hire someone that they will make great code and they will be able to be a good C++ developer,” the organisation said.
Instead, it said, look for someone who will bring the same amount of skills and experience as a junior, who has a proven track record and who can work as a team.
If you’re looking for a C# or Java developer, the report recommends you contact the developers at the company to ask them to check if they can help you with your project.
In other words, if you’re considering a job in this field, it might be a wise decision to reach out to the developers and see if they’re interested in working with you.
